Removals
Do I pay for a quotation?
We offer a free-of-charge quotation system. This can be either by a visit from one of our staff, or for those with very busy lives, or living in a different part of the country, we can supply a ‘self-quote form’, which is very accurate, and takes about 5 minutes to fill in (by post, fax or email).
Can The College Carriage Co. also offer storage for me?
We are able to offer this service through our sister company: The College Storage Co. at our Headquarters in Chalgrove, near Oxford.
Do I have to do the packing?
We can pack everything for you, or just the china and glass, or you can do your own packing and we supply the boxes.
Do I have to pay in advance?
In order to secure your reservation, we ask for a 10 per cent deposit of the price of the removal, the final payment is then required at the time our removal team has completed the work you requested.
Do I have to dismantle everything?
As long as items for dismantling are mentioned at the time we come to quote, we are able to take most things apart for you.
How much notice do I need to give for my moving date?
In theory, we could carry out a removal within 24 hours’ notice. However, if you are moving in a busy period, in order to secure your slot, it is advisable to book (even if it is provisionally) as soon as you have an indication of your date.
Can you move me anywhere in the U.K.?
We have transported people's good all over the U.K. for the past 23 years.
